Childcare International is the appointed U.K. Co-ordinator for Au Pair Link, N.Z
By living with a carefully selected family as an au pair/nanny you will be able to work with children and really taste the "Kiwi way of life". You will make new friends from around the world, safe in the knowledge that we are there to care for you and ensure that your stay is all you have dreamed of!
Families are located both on the north and south island of New Zealand, and cities include Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
All au pairs arrive at Auckland International Airport and attend a 3-day Orientation Course staying in a comfortable, well-located hotel. This will give you the opportunity to get to know your surroundings, make new friends and complete a very full and informative educational programme.
An Au Pair is expected to work around 35 hours per week. Salary is approximately NZ$150 plus free board and lodging. Lots of free time! An Au Pair has usually had some experience in childcare but has had no formal training.
A qualified Nanny can earn around NZ$300 week plus full board and lodging (subject to experience and hours worked) A qualified nanny will normally expect to have 'sole charge' of the children in her care and will be responsible for their general well-being.
