News May 2010
Boat trip in MayChildcare International participated in the boat outing from Festival Pier to Greenwich on 16th May 2010. We are pleased to report that it was a great success with over 300 au pairs enjoying a great day out. The journey on the boat to Greenwich was informative giving newly arrived au pairs the opportunity to view the amazing sights of Westminster, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Tate Modern and on to the O2.
The weather was kind to us which permitted many to sit on the upper deck and enjoy a clear view of the London skyline. The keen photographers on board were able to take part in the annual BAPAA photo competition!
In Greenwich the au pairs had plenty of time to visit the Royal Observatory which is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the famous Prime Meridian of the world and the many other places of interest including the National Maritime Museum. The Greenwich Market which is situated in the heart of the town centre was a great attraction as it is packed full with an array of unique and distinctive arts and crafts.
