The older kids go to school and the smaller child will be cared by a nanny the whole day, during the au pair stay. We live in a big house with a garden. We employ a cleaning lady. Going to Lyon 3 times for the language school per week is good, because the time needed by train between "Villefranche Sur Saone2 and Lyon is : 20 min. You can have a look with the railway website to check : http://www.voyages-sncf.com. Between Villefranche and Vaux en Beaujolais = 15 min by car (petrol paid by the family). Then, 5 min by underground to go to the school language, which is the very center, tickets of underground paid by the family. Or the au pair can use the car to go to Lyon for the french courses. The petrol is paid by the family. The candidate must speak very well french also, to help his son in his homework, as he is 11 years old. LOCATION TOWN/CITY Heemstede is an average town, with enough shopping possibilies for daily needs. sportsclubs, etc. are in Heemstede. For more elaborate shopping the closest town is Haarlem ( 15 minutes by bus). In Haarlem are also several courses, theatre, cinema, etc. Heemstede is surrounded by a lot of nature ( places to go with the kids) and only 30 minutes by bike from the beach. Amsterdam ( capital of Netherlands) is 30 minutes by public transport. DESCRIPTION AU PAIR ROOM The au pair room is built in 2007 at the top floor on the back side of the house. It is a light place that is about 15 sq. metres with nice windows facing the garden. The au pair bathroom will has a toilet, sink and shower. The au pair room has a single bed, two cupboards, sitting area (two seats with a small table), television/audio set, desk with computer ( with internet/skype). The host family finds it important that the au pair will feel at home in her own room. The au pair will get a mobile phone (prepaid) and has access to the internet and skype on the au pair room. In the past we had two au-pairs in our family (each staying for three years until founding their own families) with whom we still have a close and friendly relationship.
