O'Meara (Auckland)
We would love an Au Pair to join our small family in Auckland, New Zealand! We are a quiet, easy-going family: Dad, Mum, and 2 thoughtful, well-behaved boys (5 and 3.5 years). Dad works fairly long hours and Mum works part-time. Our oldest son Ethan, is about to start school and our youngest son Bailey, attends daycare 3 days per week (the days Mum works). We would love some assistance with the boys at the beginning of the day, and after school hours. Amongst other things, you will be helping Ethan with his homework 3 days per week, and some driving to after-school activities. Both boys are quiet natured and play well together. They both love music and dancing – you will often find them copying Michael Jackson’s dancing and putting on concerts for us! We live in a lovely, quiet suburb, very close to the beach, but also only 15 minutes drive to the city. We love to spend days at the beach, and often buy ‘fish and chips’ for dinner at the beach in the summer – a kiwi tradition!

Devonport(Auckland)
Hi, Our family is composed of 4 members: Anne and Casey (the parents), Cynthia (6) and Bryan (3). We are living in Devonport, that's one of the most beautiful places in Auckland. To go in the downtown, we usually take the car or the ferry. We want an Au Pair to look after Bryan, when parents are workin'. He is not going to school and we would like him to make activities: going to the beach, to the park, puzzle... Anne is French and came in NZ 10 years ago, she owns a French bar in Auckland, and she is also part of many events concerning French people in NZ (the Bastille Day...). I am working in logistics at the port and I often have to work late. As hobbies, we like receiving friends at home, having BBQ and sport. We are looking for an easy-going and conscientious Au Pair who wants to be part of our family.

Titirangi(Auckland)
We are a busy, active family with 3 young children (5, 4 and 2 years). We live close in Titirangi, that's 30 min from Auckland and 5 minutes walking to the beach. It's close to Waitakere Ranges which is a huge natural park. We are looking for someone with experience to take care of our children while we are working. I own a surf company which organizes tours in New Zealand and my wife is working with me. We are very busy with our company but we really enjoy it. I used to be a surf instructor for many years. I could give you tips if you enjoy it and we live close to the best places to surf in New Zealand (Piha !!) If you enjoy canyoning, hiking, waterfalls and amazing landscapes you should also enjoy Titirangi. BUT all that is for the week-end, because in the week we will need your help to raise the children ! Driving Licence is compulsory.

Dear Au Pair, We are a young family, easy-going and laid-back. We want an Au Pair to look after our little Allison (3) and also Jim(6). Allison and Jim are the two lovely children of Pete and Sue. Pete is in Finance and Sue works as a Museum director. We are both very busy with our jobs and our personal life and we need someone to give us help at home. We especially expect from the Au Pair to look after Allison as she isn't going to school yet, and it'd be great if the Au Pair could deliver Jim to his activities or play with children. The Au Pair will have free time during the week-end to visit New Zealand. We live in Auckland, that’s the best point to begin travelling NZ. We also have a boat and we enjoy sailing with children during the week-end, we will be pleased to welcome the Au Pair if he/she wants to. Feel free to contact us.

South Island
Dear Au Pair, I know how you are feeling! Anxious and a bit nervous right? I used to be an exchange student so I know how you feel. We have one beautiful child and are expecting our second in June so would love for you to join us before our new blessing arrives. We live rurally on the south island however we have several people working on our farm at any stage (roughly 10) in the ages 20 - 25 so you will have lots of young people around you. The room for the Au Pair is great self contained sleepout. The hours are flexible over the week for up to 35 hrs per week. We would need someone who is hands on and enjoys the farm lifestyle. As it is hard to us to guess how the next year will be with our new bub it will be great to have you around - helping me to get our household running smoothly!

Dear Au Pair, We are a 4-member family: two adults and two children. Our first daughter, Victoria, is 3 years old and is not attending school, so we are looking for an Au Pair to take care of her during the day. We also have a 5 years old little boy: Henry. Both children are very fun and make their busy parents very happy. We are living in Waiheke Island, it's an island 20 minutes away from Auckland with the Ferry. The Island is very famous for its vineyard and that's our job: we are wine-maker. My wife is often travelling abroad as she is mostly in charge of the commercial charge of our business, and I'm in charge of the production. Our hobbies are our children and our vineyard. We also love hiking and going to the beach. The Au Pair will have his own room, we are expecting from him/her to be easy-going, serious and willing to integrate our kiwi family.

Auckland
Dear Au Pair, We can't wait for you to join our family - we have three lovely children and are just waiting for the right person to come a long and join us! Our oldest daughter go to school but our other two daughters are at home. As I work flexible hours it will be easy for you to get some time for yourself and to also make sure that you enjoy New Zealand. You would have the entire "middle" of the day off to go to the gym, beach or maybe even just go for a walk? You will have your own room and bathroom which we have purposely built for having an Au Pair. You will have plenty of privacy and also the chance to use our car and meet other Au Pairs in the area. As we are central in Auckland there is so much to do - and so many opportunities for you! We do enjoy the outdoors, reading, hiking etc - so if you are keen on this - that is great! But what we would love is someone who can become a big sibling to our children and really enjoy them! It would be great if you could help to make sure that the children are organised each morning as well as help me to cook them meals and organise their lunch packs. Most importantly is for yout o have fun with our children and that you enjoy your year with us. We can't wait to meet you.

Hawke's Bay
Dear Au Pair, We are a very friendly Christian family living in Hawke's Bay. We are looking for someone to take care of our little baby Sean (2) and his brother Stuart (5). Sean is very young and he needs to be constantly under surveillance, but don't worry, he sleeps a lot! We also need an Au Pair to pick up Stuart from school, deliver him at his activities and help him in his homework. Stuart is a very nice kid and we want him to become open-minded and discover other cultures. It'd be really great if you could teach him a few words in your native-language. The parents are easy-going, we are Christian and practising, but it's not a problem if you're not religious.

Dunedin(South Island)
Hi, We are fun-loving family living in Dunedin in South Island. We have two lovely daughter Susan and Shirley and a little boy Harry. Harry is 3 years old and likes coloring books jigsaw puzzle. Susan and Shirley are going to school, they are respectively 6 and 8. They both like nature, and animals, especially dolphins. Once we have been in a zoo and they have seen dolphins and since, they are just fond of dolphins. We really enjoy seeing our little girls discovering the world. About the parents: we are both working for the D.O.C and are really interested in environmental issues. We have scientific formations and we are working on the issues such as climate change and volcano eruption possibilities in the Pacific. So we often have to travel and you may have to take care of the children sometimes, but don't worry, we try to make it so that one of us is at home when the other isn't. If you do extra hours, you will be paid for it.

Wellington
Dear Au Pair, We are a family of 5. Our children are Harry (3), Ashley (5) and Craig (7). We need an Au Pair to help us in our daily lives with the children and to make our children aware of the different cultures in the world. Ashley and Craig are going to school, so you will just have to wake them up and to bring them to school. Harry is very young and needs surveillance the whole day. We would also like the Au Pair to share and teach her/his culture to the children. My husband and I are in the army, we love sports and especially mountaineering. Don't worry about army's lifestyle cliché; it's not working like this at home (or not yet) ;-). We like in the capital: Wellington and it's a great place to live and to enjoy our country.

Christchurch
Dear Au Pair, We are a family of 4 with two boys William and Kevin, William is 8 and is beginning to be independent. Kevin is only 6 and still needs someone to be with him. He is a shy little boy but he is very nice. We would like the Au Pair to look after the boys in the morning, delivering them at school and making activities with them after schools (games, homework, cooking). Light cooking is required, because we'd like you to teach our boys cooking (easy stuff), but just to make them participate. You will have your week-ends off. We live in Christchurch and it's really a nice place to live in. Besides if you want to travel (and you really should!) We are close to the New Zealander greatest parks (national Park, Mount cook...). If you enjoy hiking and discovering landscapes, that's the place to be.
