Our Get-Togethers
Throughout the year we organise “Get-Togethers” at a central location in London so that our childcarers can meet and make new friends. These meetings also provide an opportunity for the au pairs to meet us in person and to discuss how their stay is progressing. Often guest speakers come along to talk to the au pairs on interesting topics.

In addition, together with a well-known Student Tour Company we offer a programme of outings to well known places of interest and a representative attends our meetings to explain the current programme of excursions. For a small fee they can experience the fascinating culture and history of such places as Cambridge, Oxford, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon and Windsor, or they can enjoy a longer weekend tour and go pony-trekking through the beautiful scenery of the Welsh countryside or walk in the breathtaking mountains of Scotland.

We are all very aware of how hard it can be to settle into a new country and a new family and by providing a ready made circle of friends for support, your au pair, mother’s help or nanny will adjust more happily to her new lifestyle.

Language Courses
Au Pairs generally attend language courses for maybe two or three sessions per week. There are many good language schools for foreign students across the UK and courses are booked on arrival. Even with a high standard of English we find that au pairs benefit from the experience and enjoy meeting other students living locally. Many of the language schools also arrange activities and outings to places of interest. We will be happy to give any assistance to you and your au pair in selecting a convenient course.
