Quarantine Information

• The au pair undertakes to maintain social distancing for the 14 days prior to their departure date and agrees not to travel to the host family if they are showing any symptoms of Covid 19 or other similar illness prior to departure.

• The host family will inform their UK BAPAA agency immediately if they are showing any symptoms of Covid 19 or other similar illness prior to the au pair’s arrival and the agencies will discuss alternative solutions for the au pair until the family have tested negative for Covid-19.

• The host family undertake to facilitate for the au pair to self-isolate 14 days in their home on arrival. (Families can choose to offer other fully expensed board and lodging outside of their home if this is preferable.)

• If the au pair is confirmed to be healthy at the end of this 14 day period, then the au pair can be fully integrated into family life.

• If the au pair tests positive for Covid-19 during the 14 day period detailed above or during the placement, the au pair and the host family must contact their UK BAPAA agency and agree a

sensible solution that complies with UK Government movement and isolation rules in place at the time of diagnosis that maintains the safety of the au pair and the host family.

• If the au pair is too ill to work, the family agrees to provide full board and lodging and the au pair agrees to forgo their weekly pocket money until they are well enough to help again.

• If a member of the host family test positive for Covid-19 during the 14 day period detailed above or during the placement, the au pair and the host family must contact their UK BAPAA agency and agree a sensible solution that complies with UK Government movement and isolation rules in place at the time of diagnosis and maintains the safety of the au pair and the host family.

• If the au pair is required to help for extra hours due to a member of the family testing positive for

Covid-19, the family will agree additional pocket money to reflect the level of help required.
