The International Au Pair Association (IAPA)
was established in 1994. It is the leading global forum and trade association for organisations active in au pairing and related cultural exchange activities. It protects the interests of au pairs and host families through the Association's internationally recognised Codes of Conduct and Guidelines. It has increased public awareness of the need to use reputable and established au pair agencies worldwide.

The British Au Pair Agencies Association (BAPAA)
is the official trade organisation for the au pair industry in the UK. It sets professional standards for its members and guarantees a high level of service to both host families and au pairs.
