Book your au pair soon!

Hi Everyone

During these difficult times we appreciate the pressures you may be under, but we wanted to let you know that we have some lovely au pair applicants available to start anytime between now and the end of the year. 
Hopefully you are aware that,  despite continuous lobbying of our government, there is currently no visa route available for European au pairs to come to the UK after December 2020.  Consequently should you be considering hosting an EU au pair applicant in the near future, you should seriously explore the possibilities available for him/her to start before the end of this year and then being able to remain in the UK under the pre-settlement scheme in 2021.
There may well be self isolating conditions applicable upon on arrival, but once this period has passed we know that our young au pair candidates  play a huge and important role in every family’s childcare needs.    Even if you the host family have to work from home, an au pair will be a wonderful “big sister/brother” helping with mealtimes, schooling and playtimes, providing flexible childcare to meet your requirements.

The British Au Pair Agencies Association (BAPAA), of which I am past Chair and a Founder Member, are doing everything possible to convince our government of the enormous benefit that au pairs provide to hardworking British host families, but regrettably to date we receive no favourable response from them.   It may be that the au pair cultural exchange programme as it is known worldwide may no longer exist in the UK next year.
