Scale of fees for Au Pair, Demi Pair, Au Pair for Seniors, Mother’s Help, Housekeeper, Companion and Couples

  • Childcare International does NOT charge a pre-registration Fee to families.  
  • Payment will become due once a placement is confirmed to a host family

Fees are based on anticipated length of stay as stated on application form unless a longer stay is confirmed.  If, at the end of the contractual period a longer stay is agreed, then an additional fee will be charged based on the scale below. If the candidate stays beyond 12 months, an additional discounted fee will be applicable.

  • It is the client’s obligation to inform the agency of such arrangement.
  • The fees stated below are per candidate and are EXCLUSIVE of VAT

Special summer au pair rate for placements between 1st June to end August (1 - 3 months)  -  £250.00

For summer placements of under 3 months no refunds/replacements are due, except in exceptional circumstances.

Refunds:  Subject to the conditions below, if an applicant leaves their placement within 30 days the agency will endeavour to find a suitable replacement (maximum 1 replacement within the thirty day period).

If no suitable applicant is available then the following refunds will apply within the first 30 days (from the date of notifying us):

0 - 7 days from the agreed commencement date        75% refund

8 – 14 days from the agreed commencement date         50% refund

15 – 30 days from the agreed commencement date       25% refund

After 4 weeks have elapsed no cash refunds are applicable, however a credit may apply towards the subsequent placement  which will be held for a year.  No refunds are applicable on credits held and no refunds apply when the placement is terminated outside of the guarantee period

Scale of Fees for Nannies

A Live-In Nanny’s salary will range from   £300 net (approx. £433 gross) per week to £400 net (approx. £485 gross) per week depending on qualification, age and experience.   (Live-out Nanny hourly rate is approx. £13 - £15 upwards)

Agency Fee:  Permanent Placements

5 x gross weekly wage for placements exceeding 6 months (subject to a minimum of £750 placement fee)

4 x gross weekly wage for placements less than 6 months (subject to a minimum of £500 placement fee)

Temporary Nanny placements:  The fee is £35 per day or £90 per week (whichever is less) calculated on a weekly basis.   If a candidate is engaged on a Temporary basis and is subsequently engaged on a permanent basis the Client will pay to the agency the full permanent fee less any fees already paid in respect of the temporary placement.

Any booking for less than 12 weeks total duration is considered a temporary booking.

Overseas Placements (outside the UK)

A flat fee of £4,500 applies to permanent overseas placements regardless of the agreed salary.

Please note that employers have the responsibility for paying the nanny’s tax and national insurance as well as their enrolment in a pension scheme.  We recommend using Nanny Tax who will manage this for you.   www.nannytax.co.uk

Refunds for Nanny placements:  Subject to the conditions below, if a permanent Employee leaves their employment within six weeks, the following refunds will be given provided that a suitable replacement cannot be found:

1 – 14 days from the agreed commencement date –    60% refund

15 – 28 days from the agreed commencement date –     40% refund

29 – 42 days from the agreed commencement date -    25% refund

If the Client chooses not to accept a suitable replacement no refund will be due. 

If the applicant leaves after 6 weeks have elapsed, no refund will be due.  

Refund Policy for all categories

A refund will only be made provided:

a)   The agency fee has been paid within ten days of date of invoice.

b)  The Employer gives written notification of termination of employment within seven days.

c)   The Employee has not left due to unreasonable conditions or conditions greatly different from those stated in the job description given to the Agency by the Employee.

d)    Any outstanding salary / pocket money has been paid to the Applicant

Please note that any refund may be subject to a deduction if monies are owing to your employee.

In the event of the Employee failing to take up employment, the Agency will endeavour to find a suitable replacement, failing which, the fee will be repaid in full.
